Welcome

to Canongate Kirk

Sunday: 10am Family Worship, 11.15am Parish Worship

This year of homecoming is inextricably linked with the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns.

Here at Canongate Kirk we celebrate our own links with the bard, for two of his most profound influences lie buried within our kirkyard.

To the west, Robert Fergusson, an earlier poet whose gravestone burns himself supplied; and to the east, Clarinda, whose correspondence inspired one of his most enduring love songs: ae fond kiss.
